The Vice Chancellor for Business Affairs is UNC Charlotte’s chief financial and administrative officer. The vice chancellor guides the Division of Business Affairs whose purpose is to provide exemplary support for the instructional, research, and community-service functions that are the mission of UNC Charlotte.

Facilities Management is responsible for all facilities planning, operations, and capital construction. Capital expansion projects expenditures exceeded $350 million over the past four years.
Financial Services provides central accounting and budgeting services for the University and its financial affiliates.
The Human Resources Department is responsible for for developing and executing strategies, policies and programs to recruit, assist, motivate, develop, promote, compensate, reward, and retain the best qualified employees while supporting continued University growth with a focus on cultivating a diverse workforce.
Internal Audit serves the Board of Trustees and administrators of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte as an independent, objective assurance and consulting activity designed to add value and improve the University’s operations.
The purpose of Risk Management, Safety and Security (RMSS) is to assess risk, develop plans, and implement programs to protect lives and property, prevent accidents and incidents, and preserve the learning environment and reputation of the University. RMSS includes Police and Public Safety, Business Continuity Planning, Environmental Health and Safety, and Risk Management and Insurance.
The mission of Information and Technology Services at UNC Charlotte is to set new standards of service and introduce new information systems in support of our clients - faculty, staff, students, alumni and the Charlotte community.
